Get to know us

Hi everyone, I am Nandini, the founder for HumanitiesTutor SG and the lead tutor of HumanitiesTutorSG Tuition Centre. We focus mainly on O/Nlevel History, Social Studies and English Literature. I started this centre, because I felt it was important to cater a space were students can learn and grow in a safe space.

Most importantly, in HumanitiesTutorSG, we believe that every student deserves a fighting chance. Singapore's education is very competitive; parents and students alike are stressed in staying afloat in the extremely competitive system. Unfortunately, this can result in students falling through the cracks and discouraged from studying. Therefore, we believe in providing care and equipping them with skills to succeed.

As a small centre, we are able give personalised attention to each student as compared to bigger tuition centres, as our group classes are max 4 students. We focus on exam techniques and how to approach the paper effectively. We also believe in cultivating student's critical thinking skills, which are essential in doing well for a humanities subject.

About me

As an experienced tutor in HumanitiesTutorSG, I had the pleasure of teaching over 70 students over the past 7 years. I also achieved the top 1% out of 50,000 tutors from MindFlex Tuition Agnes

My teaching approach usually comprises of extensive practices and curating learning according to the student's needs. I focus on pushing my student's critical thinking and equipping them with the skills and confidence to succeed. I believe in the importance of motivation and kind words to help them believe in themselves that they can do well in their studies! A kind word goes a long way :)
